Rick Dias Complete!!

Here's the third phase of my HGUC 1/144 Rick Dias works, and I've finally completed the model! As of yesterday, I rushed through the painting process and here it is on the "graveyard".

Here's the pic of my modelling corner.

After all that's done with, is to fix up the model. Now what's left is to paint in a little details and panel line it and its done!

Hope you guys have enjoyed the pictures. :D

Busy week

End of March coming soon. What a fast year... Memories of the past few years are so vivid that it seemed like only yesterday.

Wow.. they say passes when you're getting older. How true. It seems to get faster as you age. sigh.

Anyway... no updates on the Rick Dias for now.. Kinda busy for the week.

Taking care of my wife's cat.. Having to eat out for the whole week didn't really leave much time for myself to continue working on the model... I still have lots of models left untouched.... Gotta get my engine revving asap!

On the hindsight, its been a really nice week due to the weather. Its so cooling!! (Only for Singapore..) Raining almost every other day with superb weather conditions.

Well Adios for this post. Should get my next W.I.P phase up soon.

Signing off. ^_^

WIP Rick Dias Phase 2

Well, its a very fresh start of the day... cooling weather, dark skies and rain everywhere... what a great day to sleep in. Unfortunately for me, being in the worforce doesn't allow for such luxury... sigh.

Look at that.. a scene right out of my office window at this very moment... How I wish the sky remains like this all the time..... :D
The rain can be seen if you observe the patter of raindrops on the window pane...

BAck to my WIP!
I've did quite a couple of things in the last 2 days...
After all that sanding, now comes priming. This is done in order to let paint stick onto the surface better, as well as to allow for checking of any mistakes made during the cementing and sanding process.

After letting the primer dry for a day, now I go on to spray a special custom colour onto the Rick Dias. I begin by spraying a chrome surface onto the pieces.

Thats all for today... Phase 3 will be coming up soon. This is getting to be quite fast project for me. I should be able to complete this model kit in the next few days I hope...

Hi everyone,

Here's my first WIP, a 1/144 HGUC Rick Dias from the anime of 'Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam'. This mobile suit was piloted by Quattro Bageena (aka Char Aznable) who was the main antagonist in the original Gundam 0079 anime.
Anyway, without further ado, lets move on to the works of this model kit.

To most people, this model may seem plain and un-attractive. However, to me, this model simply exudes a certain type of flair that makes me adore the appearance. Personally, I got even more interested in it after I watched the anime series of Zeta Gundam.

Here's the pic of the box cover and manual cover.

Now, comes seam removal from the joints of the pieces.
I apply cement along the lines of the seams.

After letting it dry for a day, I use sandpapers of grit 400, 600 and 1000 respectively to sand down the dried cement.
The grey patches comes from putty used to smoothen the surface.
Here's the results. Smooth eh? :D

Group picture of all parts before priming.

For this build, I intend to use a similiar colour, but with a difference.
Stay tuned for more pictures! :D

Mark of the first day I blogged

Okayy.... Today marks the first day that I've ever started a blog. Even though I knew about blogging about 10 years ago, I never had the urge to go around starting one writing about the daily happenings on my life.

Well, all that's changed now..... This blog revolves mainly around Gunpla (Of course!) and some other random on-goings of my daily life.

Time to grab some photos and post up my WIPs (Work-In-Progress). If you happen to stumble across this new blog, Stay Tuned, guys!! :D
